Charles Schwab Report: Millenials Would Rather Buy Bitcoin Than Disney & Netflix Stocks
Recently one of the world's leading investment management firms, Charles Schwab, who manages over $3 trillion USD globally, published their Quarterly Shwab Report. According to the report, millennials invested more in Bitcoin than they did in the likes of Disney, Microsoft or Netflix over Q3 of this year. (see below)
Schwab’s figures show that millennials (25-39 years old) hold 1.84 percent of their assets in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC). The GBTC is an investment product — from Digital Currency Group — that sells shares in the fund to accredited investors and holds Bitcoin directly. In comparison, millennials reportedly hold 1.68%, 1.58% and 1.53% percent of their assets in Disney, Netflix, & Microsoft stocks respectively.
